You may have seen in a previous blog post that I enjoy taking a stroll in the countryside as often as I can, and that's exactly what I did over the May Bank Holiday weekend. We went to Hitchwood in Hertfordshire and the bluebells were out in full colour. It was so peaceful and great to get out in the fresh air just listening to the sounds of nature. The day wasn't quite warm enough for me to go bare legged as there was still a spring chill in the air and my feet were going nowhere near a pair of open toe shoes until I'd had a pedicure, or at least stuck some nail varnish on my toes!
I fished out my denim knee length skirt as I thought this would make a nice change to wearing jeans for a casual weekend outfit.
A denim knee length skirt has to be one of my favourite all year round pieces to have in my wardrobe and with summer on it's way the skirt will probably get a lot of use over the coming months. For this outfit though I chose to wear it with a brown jacket and striped top as we were out taking photographs so I didn't want to wear anything too bright in case I frightened away any wildlife. I've added a pair of black boots and my favourite black box bag to carry those few essentials a girl might need whilst out in the middle of the woods.
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you enjoyed this post. Do you have any key items in your wardrobe that see you all year round?
